On July 28, 2006 Maggie O’Malley suddenly passed away due to Sudden Cardiac Arrest.  During her short time here Maggie taught so many people so many things about life.  Maggie was always the perfect friend, exemplary student, and caring daughter that everyone liked.  It is hard to remember Maggie without a smile on her face.

As a three sport Varsity athlete at Rhinebeck High School, Maggie was the ideal teammate. She was the first to arrive at practice and the last to leave, always hardworking and dedicated to making not only herself but her team better.

On Saturday, April 30^th, the Rhinebeck Athletic program will honor Maggie O’Malley with the 13^th Annual Maggie O’Malley Friendship Tournament.  Through sports Maggie was able to meet so many people and develop numerous friendships; there is not a better way to keep her with us then with fun competition between people who share a love for the game.
