The Rhinebeck Modified Girls dropped their game against Onteora on Tuesday. Scoring the lone goal for Rhinebeck was Zoe. Savannah played well in goal, including saving a penalty kick. Despite the loss, the girls showed resilience and played better in the second half than in the first half.
Amanda O’Han scored on a header off of a Mai Curthoys corner kick, but that was all the offense the lady Hawks had today. They lost a tough match three to one against strong Onteora squad. Gwen Dampf had 4 saves.
Amanda O’Han scored off a Mai Curthoys cross to break the dead lock vs. Highland. The defense anchored by Annabel Allen, Fiona Murray, Claire Frischknecht, Ellie Firestone, and Paige Boehm locked down the attack in front of Gwen Dampf. Great 1-0 team effort by the ladies today!
Playing with only 11 players for most of the game (and 1 quarter with 10), Rhinebeck dropped the game against Highland 0-2. The girls showed improvement with their passing and moving without the ball. Their trapping and ball control showed improvement as well. Quality soccer was played by all.
Amanda O’Han had a hat trick in today’s 6-1 win over Pine Plains. Mai Curthoys added two goals and first time varsity scorer Lara Longman had one. Assists by Mai (3), Lara, and Addy Kalafala. Ellie Firestone was welcomed back on defense.
The Varsity Girls Soccer team defeated the visiting Millbrook Blazers 4-1. The Hawks, stuck in a deadlock 1-1 off a Fiona Murray goal in the first half, erupted for three in the second to secure the victory. The Rhinebeck Hawks Varsity Girls Soccer team had a hard-fought victory on Thursday, September 19th against Dover. In the 2-1 win, the Hawks offense was led by Mai Curthoys (1 goal), Amanda O’Han (1 goal), and Annabel Allen (1 assist). Gwen Dampf secured the victory with four saves.
The modified girls’ soccer team defeated Onteora 4-2 in their opening day game. Scoring for Rhinebeck were Charlie P. with 2 goals with Morgan and Zoe scoring 1 apiece. The Lady Hawks blanked a young Pine Plains squad 6-0 tonight at home. Mai Curthoys had a hat trick and an assist. Amanda O’Han had one assisted by Fiona Murray. Rhinebeck opened MHAL Division 4 play on Friday, September 13th when they traveled to Millbrook to take on the Blazers. The Hawks won 7-2 behind four goals from Mai Curthoys and three from Amanda O’Han. Both players had two assists each with another by Eliza Straaberger. Paige Boehm and Annabel Allen held down the defense.
