JV Boys Soccer Defeats Onteora

On October the 10th The Rhinebeck JV boys traveled to Onteora school to emerge with a 4-1 win in a mostly dominant match. The Hawks came out strong controlling the game. The first goal came early In the first half with a ball slotted through the Onterora’s defense by Rex Codling to Joaquim Azevedo for a beautiful finish on goal. After the first goal the midfield of the Hawks started to deteriorate. On a fast pace counter the other team drew the game close to halftime. Coming out in the second half strong, The Hawks got lucky when Nery Saquol found himself on the end of a deflection saving The Hawks with a simple but well-placed finish. It was shortly after Nery’s goal where The JV boys got a chance to put another ball in the back of the net with an assist from John Haight and a great goal in the bottom left corner by Alex Button. Towards the end of the match the Rhinebeck coach put Kamyar Kemp, the starting center back for Rhinebeck, in the position of striker, with two minutes left in the game Alex assisted Kamyar to his first goal in a long time and the most impressive goal of the whole game.
