Modified Cross Country Overcomes Difficult Conditions

Rhinebeck Modified Cross Country traveled to the Hudson Valley Sportsdome (9/26) to compete against host Marlboro and visiting Hyde Park. Faced with wet conditions and a hilly course, runners rose to the challenge and posted many personal bests despite nonideal conditions.

The top finisher for the boys’ team was Joseph Frischknecht, finishing the 1.5-mile course in 10:38 and placing 3rd overall. Owen Bozenski (11:26) and Levi Alves (16:14) rounded out the top three for Rhinebeck. Seamus Hagen was the final finisher for Rhinebeck, dropping his time from last week by a commendable three minutes and eleven seconds from 20:44 to 17:33.

The top finisher for the girls’ team was Alexandra Inteeworn, who also finished in the top three overall on the girls’ side. She posted a finishing time of 11:53, an improvement from 12:33 last week. Rounding out the girls’ team were Sydney Anchin (16:32) and McKenna Bresnahan (16:46).

Rhinebeck Modified Cross Country returns to action in two weeks when they travel across the river to The Mount Academy on Wednesday, October 9th.
